Well in short, recon yesterday was pretty good, there was plenty of pokey ect, I kinda missed the fact its alot smaller in MK, the fact I didnt have a costume ready in time for the contest, so I watched as Deidara. I was gonna be safety pin Aerith/Aeris but I though why rush and damage. That and its very intermite in MK I was lost amongst all the people, and kinda grabbed onto other Akatsuki and the anime club. Who are all incredibly sweet.

I dont want to sound bitter in anyway shape or form and this is nothing personal to anybody but I'm going to take a stand on my point of view on the bought cosplay issue, using bought costumes for competitions is wrong to me. It just looked slightly silly having a competition that was full of bought costumes, with the occasional head of someone poking out the crowd, who you could tell spent hours slaving over every detail being hidden amongst a tonne of ebay purchases.

I buy some of my costumes, my Larxene Coat and my Deidara Coat are both bought from ebay. As I said I wore a bought costume there as a stand in as I didn't finnish Aerith in time. None of these costumes I have used competively. I'll make my own for when I'm skilled enough to do so.

I however would never think of entering them into a competition. Why? Becuase I personally see it as cheating thats allowed at Recons. As I say again the competition then becomes a matter of who has the most money for the best Vampire Knight (for example) costume, and who looks physically pretty in it. Rather then a competition of who has spent hours of there freetime to the best of there ability slaving away at a character. I dunno who won I wasn't paying much attention as I lost my raffle ticket and did the classic tip ones bag on the floor and rummage. But anyway theres my two cents on that issue. I don't see anything wrong with being of that opinion.

Otherthings in life.... I currently have a headache and came of the realisation I've only had a couple of naps this week to replace sleep, mostly between 5 and 8.30pm. Mostly Ive been up till 12 sewing Aeris in an attempt to get her done for recon, and have dinner by 2am ect, and last night I couldn't sleep at all from worrying as I've got alot on my mind. Metaphorically I feel like I've fallen neck deep in a terribly muddie puddle I didn't see coming, and I'm not 100% sure which is the best way to take to get out of it. I feel genuinely pretty crap today and stressed.

I also feel I've been neglecting some old friends, but I shall go see/stay with Meg at the weekend for her Birthday, and hopefully my head will be clear soon.
